Poem - Nature Walk 1st April 2025
As I get out of the car I see a magpie above me on a branch Another sweet friend I've made again The park is before us A path leading into a small forest of tall trees While down the road in the distance The mountains can be seen And the great forest surrounding the pine River We start our walk Stepping around a fallen old tree Since the cyclone Likes of this we often see Walking along We feel so small compared to the trees And I hear birds Butcher birds and other birds Singing in their nature home With their friends they know they're not alone The colours of nature Green and Brown Surround us now There's so many different types of trees here We walk eventually slowly uphill And through trees and trees Suddenly I spot High up in a grand eucalyptus tree A koala, huddled up sleeping in the tree fork So excited we take photo...
