Poem - My Uncles Farm

Down the South of the country Past cities,  many towns  And endless grass and eucalyptus trees  Lived my Uncle on his farm  Such a long drive from a little sleepy country town  Past so many huge trees by the road  Past many other farms and paddocks  Nestled in a secret nook no-one would ever find  In its own little world  Appeared,  a little farm cottage house Amongst a healthy bright green garden  And out in the distance,  vast lush green hilly paddocks  You immediately see a small lake down behind the cottage and down behind a few fruit trees  "Ruff ruff!" You meet Woody my uncles large golden beige farm dog.  He is young and loves his free adventurous life on the farm!   Inside the cottage feels like a cozy cabin.  You feel it has history as it has some age to it.  The kitchen and dining area is to the left overlooking the back garden and small lake and living area is to the right with a he...

Poem - Walking At My Lake

The day is so bright today besides the lake  All the colours of the day are so bright and sparkling crystal clear  Through this nature  By the tall overshadowing trees and sunshiney green grass that surround the road for miles  Walking down to the waters edge of the lake on the earthy green grass  A pied butcher bird is watching me from a tree branch  The tall, tall old trees surround me like a forest here  Then walking down to the waters edge of the lake in the big clearing between the trees and the lakes water, I say how its such a beautiful day as I am emersed in this day, in this beautiful spot in nature, in this scenic view of the untouched tree covered mountains in the distance, with nothing but forest all the way between the mountains and the lake, then the sprawling lake with so much open space above the breathtaking expanse of deep blue sparkling water, with the forest on the edge of the lake a familiar and charmingly beautiful view. Today I s...

Poem - Mother moon

The moon is always with us  I think we forget that  But the moon is always always near  Maybe sometimes past the other side of the planet  But she is always right by our side  Big, ginorormous, mystical and glowing  We can feel though the moon is a part of us  Shining big moon in the black timeless night  She's singing a song, a song about many forever's and whispers of the changing of tides

Poem - The forest and mountains

I always see the mountain range far away in the distance  The suburbs start at the foot of the forest and run all the way to the ocean  But everytime I drive these roads home,  I see nature's mountains  Something of such pure divine beauty  They are so far away but you can see how far.   You can see the earth.  Hills in the suburb speak to me of the beauty of the landscape,  all these trees that cover the hill and the winds that sweep across the hill.. Those winds that also greet me at my hidden cozy window  The forests over the mountains are another world.. A beauty,  peacefulness, charm that politefully and gracefully expects conservation  Koalas live there  And so many wild animals  So many thousands of birds over there, that only know nature.   I hear beautiful emotional music play when I gaze at the mountains for just one moment  Sometimes longer,  constantly changed by this reality and...

Poem - Memories of nature

Memories of nature  Nature has always spoken to me A song of wind,  rain,  and bird song  Whispering to me about the vast expanses of the world  Singing to me between the branches  About secret places of beauty forgotten by the world  Calling to me through the mountains about the histories of people here  Telling me  How tall the sky is  How far the storms go  But always comforting me  Nature tells me the wind is a lullaby for me And the seasons and flowers are a piece of art  There's always so much to discover about nature  It tells me  Can you really know everything

Short Story - Street cat Bobby

Bobby was a street wandering cat that lived at 85 year old Roses house. He loved walking through the front yard with its neat flower beds of peach and red roses in different shades.   Today was a lovely day with blue skies and the sun was shining behind some clouds.  He strolled slowly along the little old cracked concrete garden path then through the little iron fence between the miniature brick front fence.   He walked down the street seeing yellow dandelions here and there and sometimes stopping to paw at the dandelions that were fluffy wishing dandelions and then he watched the fluffy pieces float far far away into the sky.  Down the street he saw a 2 story home with a huge old tree high above him. He walked up the driveway then on the path around the side of the house towards the backyard.  He went through a small picket fence into the backyard where there was just grass and some big trees scattered around the back of the backyard.  Below one...

Short Story - Walk to the park pond

Milly and her friend Summer thought that it would be a good day to walk to the park pond a few streets away.  The sun was shining and the sky was blue and there were all these lovely white fluffy clouds in the sky. They started walking past all the charming houses and their lovely gardens and slowly up and down the hills in their area.  They walked to a busy road then across the road when all was quiet to the park where the big pond was.  There was so many tall trees at the park and gardens with lots of hedges and neat bushes surrounding the big pond.  There was a little grass pathway around the pond. They walked through all the tall trees then Started walking along the little grass pathway around the pond. There was so many lillypads and waterlillies in the pond floating on the water which looked dark blue but also greenish from the reflections from all the tall trees.  Around a little bend in the path they saw a little group of ducks napping on the edge of the...
