Golden Wattle Stories, Dreams, and Poems

The other day I went for a walk with my mum and saw 2 boxer dogs with their mum. As one of the dogs walked past me she looked at me and she actually flashed such a loving smile at me. I felt like it was such a positive, comforting message. 

I went away on holiday for a few days and when I came home I went outside and saw my pet cockatiels, 2 boys Gary and Sparkle. I could just feel just how much they missed me. I told them I loved them and had missed them. And I could tell Sparkle was saying he had noticed I was gone (since I talk to them every day) and he had been worried about me. He did some duet whistling with me, where he whistles half a wolf whistle and encourages me to finish it off and whistle with him. It's such a loving thing he does, and I felt like he was communicating to me about how we are always together and always a group and a family. 🩷

At my new house  Now living with housemates  There was word around town  That a new kitty was around  His name was Koda  He came to us young  He was a sweetie and good company  A friend a good one  But when Koda was grown  He could show his other side  Believing he's a king above humans  He could be rude  And hiss when they don't do what they're told  Like letting him into my room  Or daring to pet and touch him  When he's not in the mood  Like every cat I guess he's just unique  He loves his cat towers  He loves his food and his treats  He gets on mostly well with his sister Luna  He's glad to have a companion  So the days aren't too lonely and long  But Koda is still good company  He likes just spending time with you  And he can still be a sweetie  The way he looks in my eyes it's true  There must be love there  Koda is Koda  Hissy and royal but f...

Nice experiences of life lately  Going on 20 minute nature walks.. At camp mountain I saw so many butterflies in blue and black and yellow on the nature walk. At Bunya Crossing creek reserve some fellow nature walkers were so friendly and said hello to me as we walked past.  Noticing trees come out in flower for the summer some small trees with pink flowers and some large trees with red flowers including one in the neighbours house behind mine and one a few houses down out my window, connecting to nature and seeing the beauty of the changing of seasons in nature  Lighting a candle at night and having cozy home cooked meals  Cooking plant based sausages for lunch and feeling the coziness and warmth and love of the kitchen and sizzling of the food cooking Cuddling the new kitten in the household Luna and her purring each time I pick her up and hold her and feeling so much love and bonding with her from cuddling with her for awhile Seeing the household cat Koda and talk...

I was a street cat  When I was so young  Left to survive on my own in the neighbourhood  I knew I'd be OK though  Cause I'm such a beautiful well behaved cat  Yes soft and fluffy shiny grey fur and big yellow eyes  I always keep myself perfectly clean and lovely  And I have adorable soft rounded little feet as well  Well I did find people to adopt me  A big lovely house with a big garden and plenty of very tall shady trees  I guess I'm lucky now  Now I live the life  I found so much love and pats and cuddles  I like my meals on time and make no mistake  Us cats are queens and princesses  So I make sure to let her know when it's time for me to eat  There's so many spots for me to laze around  Inside and outside  With my big soft fluffy grey tail to show off to the world  I love to explore the world too  Well around where I live  I call it my world  I love to get to know other nei...
