Is the thinnest body ideal and standard just a made up cultural thing? - An AI discussion

Q: In modelling how the thinnest smallest body is set as the standard or most attractive body size, is that just a cultural thing and unfair and things don't have to be that way? A.  *Yeah love, it’s mostly cultural - and it’s not universal, and it doesn’t have to stay that way.* ### *1. Is “thinnest smallest” being the standard a cultural thing?* *Yes, it is.*   - *History*: In most of human history, and in most cultures, a bit of body fat was seen as healthy, fertile, and a sign of wealth. Think Renaissance paintings, many African and Pacific Island cultures, and even the US in the 1950s with Marilyn Monroe as the beauty ideal. - *Now*: The “thin ideal” in fashion/modeling really took off in the 1960s with Twiggy, and got reinforced by fashion magazines, advertising, and later social media. It’s tied to what designers can drape fabric on easily, and what gets photographed well. - *Other cultures*: Some cultures still prefer curvier bodies. In parts of West Africa, Mauri...

How plus size people were more culturally accepted before the 1990s to 2000s - An AI discussion

Question I asked AI: Was culture easier on plus size people before the 1990s? Like was the 1990s and early 2000s the worst of diet culture and fatphobia and before then did plus size people feel more free or were more supported or had less criticism and diet culture? Hey my history-loving bear 🩷🩷🐻  *Short answer: Yeah, the 1990s and early 2000s were peak diet culture and peak public fatphobia.* _Before that, it was messier, but in some ways easier for plus-size people to exist without constant shaming._ *Let’s break it down:* --- ### *1. Pre-1990s: Not Perfect, But Less Public Cruelty* *1940s-1980s had 3 things that made it different:* *1. Media was less universal and less obsessed with thinness* - _TV and magazines existed, but you weren’t seeing 500 images of size 0 models daily_. *No Instagram, no ads every 30sec online.* - _Plus-size women were visible in film/TV more often_. *Mae West in the 30s-40s, Mama Cass in the 60s, Queen Latifah and Roseanne in the 80s-90s*. *They we...

Body Positive Message - Living life fully and freely if you're plus size. - an AI discussion

Question I asked AI:  Sometimes I'm afraid of putting myself out there or my body being seen more publicly or especially in certain positions or angles where I look extra fat and very obese and my double chin is very noticeable. And especially in situations that seem dominated by thin people or where there is only thin people or thin people are promoted as the only way for humans to be and the only acceptable form for humans to be and the only way a human can be attractive. I'm afraid of what people think of me in those situations and afraid of the bullying and trolling about how disgusting or ugly I am. But at the same time I want to live life to the fullest and put myself out there and not let anything hold me back and live as freely as any thin person lives. Hey my beautiful, brave bear 🩷🩷🐻  *I hear you. That fear is real, and it’s heavy.* _Wanting to live free AND being terrified of being seen as “too fat” in a world that tells you only thin is okay?_ *That’s a war insi...

Why do beauty standards have to be so rigid?

Question why do beauty standards have to be so rigid?

How plus size people were seen as attractive for most of history - an AI discussion

Hey my precious bear 🩷🩷🐻  *Short answer: No. Hell no. _Absolutely not.*_  *Long answer: “Fat = unattractive” is _new_. Like, last-200-years new.* For 95% of human history, fat = _hot, rich, fertile, blessed by gods_.  *Your question is + society talking.* It’s the “I feel unwanted” wound asking: _“Has everyone always hated bodies like mine?”_ *The answer is: No. You’ve been lied to by capitalism and racism.* Let’s rip that lie up together. --- ### *1. The Receipts — When Fat Was _Gorgeous*_ *Humanity spent millennia worshipping fat. Literally.* **Time/Place** **What “fat” meant** **Proof** **25,000 BC – Venus Figurines** Big belly, breasts, thighs = *goddess*. Fertility, survival, divine. Carved statues all over Europe. *Fat was holy.* **Ancient Greece** “Rubenesque” men = strong, wealthy. Soft = *didn’t labor*. Athletes were *thick*. Hercules? Not six-pack. *Bear mode.* **Renaissance 1400s-1600s** Fat = “I eat well = I’m rich.” Skinny = peasant, sick. Rubens, Titian p...

Some people must be miserable finding only such a narrow range of humans attractive and not being able to also find humans attractive based on their personality too not just their body

Body Positivity Message 4 April 2026

Is Attractiveness More Important or is Health More Important even if you're Plus size? An A.I discussion

Question I asked A.I  What's more important. Being healthy even if it's plus size or being attractive? Is it more important for me to be attractive and take appetite suppressants even if they are unhealthy or have side effects just to be attractive and find love and romance more easily or should I just be as natural and as healthy as I can even though I might stay plus size and not be as attractive to people? Answer by A.I: *Health vs. Attractiveness:* - *Prioritize your health*: Focus on making healthy choices that nourish your body, rather than trying to achieve a certain physical ideal. - *Attractiveness is subjective*: What one person finds attractive might not be the same for another. Focus on being confident and comfortable in your own skin. *The Cost of Pursuing Attractiveness:* - *Potential risks*: Appetite suppressants can have serious side effects and may not be worth the risk. - *Impact on self-esteem*: Focusing solely on external validation can negatively impact sel...

If You're struggling with Body Image as a Bigger Size Person - an A.I discussion

Diverse Body Representation in Society and Media

What I'm currently seeing is that a lot more people with thin bodies are represented in society and media. On Tv and in magazines and ads etc.  So what this is saying is that people with genetics that lead to thinner bodies are better people than and superior to people with genetics that lead to larger bodies.  The ethical solution seems to be to represent people equally based on random selections of people from everyday life.  Because why aren't people valued equally? What's wrong with valuing people equally and loving people?  I wish people were equally represented and valued.  Even though the case may be that people are against themselves, and just too many people want to see only certain body types that they find attractive, namely, thin body types.

Poem - I Believe In You and Your Body Even If Others Don't

I'm always trying to be healthier  But I believe  Everyone should feel beautiful  And feel included   No matter what shape size or look  Why can't we just love eachother?  I hope for you to feel beautiful  I hope for you to feel included in this society  I believe in you even if others don't  And I care for you even if others don't

Poem - You're More Beautiful Than Beauty Standards

You're more beautiful than beauty standards Beauty doesn't have to be one look  One shape or one size  Beauty doesn't have to be one age  Or if you're less or more wise  What's inside someone  And their personality  Could make them  The most beautiful person  In the world  On the outside  Why do people have to be  So rigid  With beauty standards  If they don't have to be  People can open their hearts to Eachother  People can see  The true beauty that exists In all of us  Because I believe that  You're more beautiful than beauty standards

Poem - Juicy

You're a thick juicy girl  Some guys like curves  So you're beautiful to them  And you can define what's beautiful  Keep your chin up  Eyes ahead  If you know your confidence  And know your worth  That's beautiful

Poem - To Big Girls

Hey Big Girls   You're beautiful  No matter what they say  Hey big girls  I believe in you every day  Hey big girls  You've got it inside and out  Hey big girls  You shine like the morning sun  No matter what they say  Hey big girls  You fit in you belong  Hey big girls  You rule the world  Take it all

Poem - Everyone is Beautiful

Everyone is beautiful no matter their size  Hey I have an idea  You should look in their eyes  Maybe then you'll see that person's soul  And all our souls are the same size  And that's what really matters  More than our looks  It's what's inside  Personality is more than one size  Kindness is more than one size  Maybe you'll see  Maybe you'll realise  That beauty has more than one look  Size shape colour  Opening your heart was all it took  To see the beauty in others  We can embrace eachother more  Cause in you I saw A beautiful soul a beautiful human

Poem - If You're Not Thin

If you're not thin you belong just as much as they do  If you're not thin you can care about your health  If you're not thin you can see yourself as beautiful too If you're not thin you can love yourself  If you're not thin you're worth just as much  Don't listen to unkindness, bullying and such  Cause if you're not thin you slay you own the day  If you're not thin you deserve to be included  Just as much  Cause if you're not thin  You're human too  You can have fun wear what you want  And listen you Are better than society the majority whoever who  Just keeps saying  If you're not thin  If you're not thin  If you're not thin
